Yumeko’s all-seasons down duvet was once again awarded the ‘Beste uit de Test’ seal of approval by the Consumentenbond (Dutch consumers’ association) in 2024 – the best score a product can achieve.

Just when we’d got over the triumph of winning the ‘Beste uit de Test’ seal of approval in the Consumentenbond’s 2021 ranking, ourrecycled down all-seasons duvet did it again in the most recent survey in 2024! With its recycled filling, our all-seasons duvet champions more sustainable production methods while being irresistibly soft and light. What more could you want?
Our triumph shows that sustainability and quality go hand-in-hand. The ReNew duvet is made of 70% recycled down and 30% recycled feathers. In 2018, working with our down supplier, we established the Netherlands’ first supply chain for recycled down: collecting old down duvets, pillows and jackets, removing the down and sorting it by weight and quality. The down is then thoroughly washed, leaving it 100% clean and just as soft and breathable as before.
The Dutch consumers’ association (Consumentenbond) tested a range ofall-seasons duvets sold by various brands including Yumeko, HEMA, IKEA, Auping and Vandyck, comparing eight down duvets and eight polyester duvets.
Your choice of duvet depends in part on personal preference. That said, all ‘good’ duvets share a certain number of characteristics. If you know what they are, you’ll find it easier to pick the right one for you. The survey by the Dutch consumers’ association took a good look at these characteristics alongside the duvets’ sustainability and the quality of information on the label.
The survey tested three key filler characteristics:
Here’s a snippet from the jury’s test report in September 2024:

Yumeko’s recycled down duvet is part of our exclusive ReNew collection, featuring pillows and duvets made of 100% recycled down and feathers.
Yumeko even collects down itself through its down recycling service ,enabling Yumeko customers to return their old down duvets and pillows for free. Working with its supplier, Yumeko separates, selects and washes the down to make pillows and duvets that are just as attractive and soft as the original product.
